ANNOUNCEMENTS

Lenten Bible Study Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Ray Boyd will lead a Bible study for seven Sundays during Lent beginning on Sunday, February 7th at 8:30 a.m. The sessions are based on the book 25 Hours That Changed the World by Ada Hamilton. The book and its companion 40 Days of Reflection may be purchased from Cokesbury if you would like. (www.cokesbury.com) Participants should plan to bring a Bible to the classes. Sign up on the sheet at the end of the hallway. Hope to see you there!

Helping Hands Sheltering On March 10, 11 & 12th, our church will again shelter homeless guests. Volunteers are needed to chaperone guests overnight. Please contact Karen Rhodes at kkrhodes@netscape.com or 201-738-3433 to participate in this community outreach program. For those unfamiliar with the Helping Hands program, it is designed to shelter homeless men and women overnight, and to help them find alternatives to life on the streets through outreach, assessment and referrals, connecting them to the support services they need. Prayerfully consider a role with the Helping Hands shelter project, so that our church can once again provide a warm meal and covered shelter to those in need.

Please keep the Search for Christian Maturity Retreat in your prayers, that it may be a blessing in the lives of those who will be attending this January 8th to the 10th.

Nursery Care during worship services: I am happy to inform you that nursery care will be provided during worship services, beginning Sunday, August 23rd. It is being provided in the hopes that it will be helpful to all those who might be feeling the need for nursery care, both current attenders and new families with young children that we hope will visit or join us in the future.

Need to Reach the Pastor? I will generally be on site, in the church office or parsonage, on Monday mornings from 9 to 12, if not later. I also will keep office hours on most Thursdays in the early afternoon. It would be wise to call first as there will be occasions when I will need to be on the road for meetings, visits, emergencies, etc.

Flowers for the Altar: If you are interested in giving flowers for the altar there is a flower chart on the board at the end of the corridor where you can sign up. Cost of flowers will be $15.00 per Sunday.

Personal Hearing Assists are now available. Please see an usher for assistance.

Food Gift Cards will be on sale following worship for use as you grocery shop. Help your church by shopping with Food Gift Cards.

The Candle of Hope burns on our Altar Table as a sign of God's love and our welcome & support, for all those who live with illnesses for which a cure has not yet been found, like HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
